Diabetes is no joke. Period. If you are a diabetic patient, you may feel overwhelmed by the mere diagnosis of diabetes, let alone what to do?about it. Here?s the good news:? by taking responsibility for your part in managing the disease, your outcomes can improve exponentially. Don?t know where to begin? Check out these four free diabetes classes for those interested in doing just that. You have a choice in the matter. Get educated and get armed to attack your disease with the know-how to live well. The Metro Department of Public Health and Wellness will host these classes beginning Oct 1 at the South Louisville Community Center at 2911 Taylor Blvd.

October 15 How can I stay healthy with diabetes?? How do I read a label?? What do I need to know about fat and salt?
October 22 Taking care of my feet.? Coping with diabetes.? Keeping a healthy weight and staying active.
