Interesting news has surfaced about HTC?s plans to bring Beats Audio to its unreleased Windows Phone 8 device. According to The Verge, sources close to HTC?s Windows Phone plans have confirmed the addition, with the rumored 4.3-inch Windows Phone 8 handset dubbed the HTC Accord. We?ve been hearing that the Accord will be unveiled at the end of September. Beats Audio is expected to be added in such a unique way that?ll allow Windows Phone 8 users control over the output on the handset through the device?s settings options, which is run through a special application.
If the rumors hold true, the Accord is going to be a pretty impressive phone. Rumored specs pings the device with 4.3-inch 720p Super LCD 2 display, 8-megapixel rear camera with 1080p capture, 1GB RAM, 42Mbps?HSPA+ support (with the chance of LTE support), and a dual-core Snapdragon S4+ processor (likely the MSM8260A).
This is pretty weird considering how not too long ago we didn?t think that HTC would even get a seat at the Windows Phone 8 table. That being said, it?s great to see HTC exploring on to other mobile operating systems, as the company so desperately needs to regain its prominence.
Are you stoked about a HTC phone powered by Windows Phone 8?
